The running back position has become one of the most dynamic positions on the field. Running back drills and customized running back training are essential in developing the wide range of skills needed to be a dominant running back. Today’s running backs are obviously excellent runners, but they can also catch, run block, pass block and run great pass routes. A complete running back training program consists of elements to enhance footwork, agility, speed, blocking and wide receiver training. Weight training and ball security habits are also very important.
